Playing dice

by Kevin T McEneaney

Does an infinity really exist?

One runs into invisible quarks.

One cannot divide space infinitely,

yet space certainly can be quantified.

*

What happens if you go in a straight line?

Will that straight line continue forever?

If I toss a die into vacuum space

will it ever return to starting point,

or will it land on a distant planet,

or will it just roll on forever?

*

We see three percent of the universe.

Is the rest of the universe the same?

Unlikely, that we will see the whole scene.

And to think that humanity is not sane….
