Transcendence was a secular ideal
with humanists in the last century,
but currently it appears to be folly.
Today, transcendence is limited to
religious meditation, poetry,
and the odd, ecstatic visionary.

Computer zeros and ones dominate
the mental activity of many.
Computers induce mild slavery.
limiting one’s thought capacity.
AI remains the dark antithesis
of those who embrace transcendent thought.

The concept of transcendence advises
one to enter a realm of otherness….
