Sci-fi Land
There was a time when people could converse,
go to the beach, frolic in sand and sea,
play tennis, baseball, lacrosse, other sports,
or show up on the gym to have a swim.
I mean they might really do that in person.
Or they might sing in a large church choir
shoulder to shoulder as if they were one
voice from a single multi-head body.
Remember when restaurants were open?
Recall the days of neighborhood parties?
Those were the days before the pandemic,
before we were visiting aliens
on our own green, blue, and white planet earth
where clouds once jostled in the sky above.
