What time do you have?

by Kevin T McEneaney

Time still remains a puzzle to science

because it seems that chance rules all atoms

where strange particles bounce inside atoms

in an unpredictable arrangement.

Scientists prefer determinism.

*

Sometimes the calculations make no sense

like the recent experiment result

that arrived at proving negative time,

or elements of a dancing atom

occur in two places at the same time.

*

Our own sense of time is pedestrian

and may be influenced by the weather,

or how long we slept before awakening.

We are unusually obsessed with time….
