Supermoon

by Kevin T McEneaney

Under the brightly shining supermoon

the autumn landscape of withered-brown leaves

is illuminated in a bright hue.

Even the insects are taken by surprise…

*

October decomposition fills me

with apprehension for coming winter.

The silver stream still gurgles politely

as a fawn crosses the road for water.

*

The hooting of an invisible owl

provides a serene musical motif.

Moon protects Earth from many meteors….

*

Its amber light is a delight to all…

Do you have a favorite fallen tree

that you go out to visit in moonlight?
