Like snowflakes dithering in windy breeze,
Christmas mythologies descend on us
as they accumulated over time,
during two thousand years of stories, songs.
–
Christmas fables are a bright treasure chest
of happiness, disguised wisdom, and joy,
yet the best of this bejeweled legacy
remains the music of this glad season.
–
Music long preceded our languages.
One might argue music created us
in the image of friendship, even love.
–
As a child, I still recall a snowflake
landing on my nose with excited joy.
Let’s live the music of that joy today!
