Those cool drizzling days of Spring effusion
evoke wonder, delight, despite cold nights,
as rugged dandelions bloom with weeds
across multitudinous fickle lawns
where drizzle resembles a chin tickle
of acute observation on nature
while my heart summons joyful memories
of bird watching and army ants marching
with heretic cold winter on the run,
one may view torrent of water spilling
over rocks, and twisted, mangled tree limbs….

The joy of Spring is a contagious ploy
to begin hard work with pitchfork, shovel!
