Plants weeping all around the world

by Kevin T McEneaney

Plants and flowers do not possess a mouth,

yet they complain and cry with snaping noise

at a frequency beyond our hearing,

resembling the popping of popcorn.

Even if you put your nose to a plant,

you will not hear a peep from a flower.

Plants do communicate with each other

by emitting chemicals in blue air…

Plants make louder sounds when dehydrated

and one might say that they can scream when cut.

If you plant a sensitive microphone,

you might be able to hear them moaning

if their water supply has grown too low.

Advice: keep your pet house plants well-watered!
